Each individual is a unique gift from God. I believe that every child that passes our threshold has within himself/herself the potential to grow in the way God wills for him/her. Thus I see myself as God's instrument to journey with the children, to explore new avenues, to promote growth, to support efforts made and to celebrate achievements. It is my hope and my prayer to see each child grows up to be an integrated, kind, compassionate and loving person.

My role as TLC Learning Facilitator has given me a new richness. Firstly, I never thought I could work with young children but now after four years I know that I can. It is only when we are willing to step out of our comfort zones that new excitements spring up in our lives.

Each child is likewise challenged to step out of their comfort zones of resigning themselves to their fate as "slow learners" so as to experience new heights of excitement in their learning be it academically, socially or even spiritually. Though small steps are taken, the sweet taste of experiencing small successes makes the difference to these children.

The desire for their holistic formation and development in the Learning Centre drives us to challenge and at the same time fully support them towards reaching their maximum potential, thus bringing out the giftedness of each one as persons.

Having been in Canossaville for well over five years, I must say that I am privileged to have the opportunity to work here, to nurture, care and love God's special children.

The days and nights spent with the children provide great bonding and understanding in building up a well meaningful relationship. It provides a "home" away from home for the children who long to be with their parents.

It's a joy to witness the physical growth of the children. The most rewarding of all is the experience of seeing the children grow in self-esteem and confidence, when they extinct their adverse behaviours to positive ones, and when they acquire good manners. I pray for God's continual blessing for my work with the children.

Being a Residential Staff in Canossaville Children's Home I feel very much a part of this family. We work as a team from morning to night to provide the children care, education and nurture their needs. This is a challenge to my personal growth because I learn together with the children.
