OUR MISSION

'To bring GOD's love to People with AIDS (PWAs) and their families by providing holistic care and support.'

In order to achieve this, we:

  1. Befriend people with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and their families by visiting them in hospital or at their homes, and responding to their spiritual, physical and emotional needs.

  2. Provide additional care and support services including housing and advocacy for the needy, information and referral, therapy, counselling, training, job-matching, respite for families if needed, food rations, taking the PWA on an outing, or accompanying him/her to a hospital appointment.

  3. Pray with those who are open to prayer, while remaining respectful of the religious beliefs of those who are not Catholics.

  4. Be at the bedside of dying PWAs, help with funerals and attend funerals of those we serve, and remain in touch with the bereaved, provided this is permitted or desired by the PWA and his/her family.

  5. Work with Tan Tock Seng Hospital’s Communicable Disease Center and the relevant authorities, in its various efforts to provide care and support to PWAs.

  6. Raise awareness of HIV and AIDS and promote the need to show greater understanding and compassion towards those with HIV and AIDS.

  7. Collaborate with existing network of support organizations to meet the needs of PWAs and their families.

  8. Serve as a Catholic resource and training center on the care of PWAs.

  9. Engage in research or other work connected with the prevention and cure of AIDS.

  10. Do all such other things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects.

  11. Share the love of God to all the Society encounters.
