Aim
The aim of the Commission under the authority and direction of the Archbishop is the promotion of Liturgy within the Archdiocese according to the Vatican II Constitution on Sacred Liturgy and any subsequent decrees.
Objectives
| To study and promote studies on various liturgical matters through circulation of articles, sessions, seminars, newsletters etc. |
| To help and guide pastors and the faithful in the understanding and implementation of the Liturgy according to the directives of the Holy See, the Federation of Asian Bishops' Conferences, the Malaysia-Singapore-Brunei Conference of Bishops, and the Archbishop of Singapore. |
| To promote liturgical formation of all the faithful and especially to initiate programs for liturgical leaders. |
| To discern the local liturgical needs and to provide a better inculturation of the liturgy to these needs. |
| To assist, advise and/or approve any publication of liturgical material, such as hymn books, prayer books, church calendars etc. |
The Commission incorporates a committee known as the Liturgical Music Committee (LMC).
