BULLETIN No. 14

May 2004

Upon the request of our Bishops’ Conference for Malaysia, Singapore & Brunei to the Congregation for Divine Worship, the use of the Eucharistic Prayer “On The Way Together” was approved for our region on April 7, 1988.

At that time, it was circulated in all the dioceses concerned. But, apparently, a number of priests here do not seem to know much about it. Because of the forthcoming Eucharistic Congress and the desire of the Organizing Committee that our people should get used to it before the celebration, we publish this Eucharistic Prayer again.

“On The Way Together” is particularly fitting for meetings of priests, religious, and also the laity at occasions like recollections, retreats and important assemblies of the People of God, as for Sunday Mass.

Four different, yet related, themes are worked out in this Eucharistic Prayer, in such a way that each of these themes has a different Preface and different Intercessions for the Church:

A. On the way together to the Father.

B. Jesus, our way to the Father.

C. On the way with one another.

D. On the way towards unity.

See in the following pages, a proper set-up that can be printed (colour on hard paper) and inserted in the Sacramentary.
