The Schola Cantorum Sancti Gregorii Magni is a choir under the auspices of the Archdiocesan Liturgical Music Committee of the Liturgical Commission of the Archdiocese of Singapore (LMC).
In full accordance to the teachings of the Second Vatican Council, we are dedicated to giving Gregorian chant pride of place in the Liturgy of the Church, with the Eucharist and the Liturgy of the Hours.
We sing Gregorian chant at a monthly Mass and a monthly Holy Hour comprising Sunday vespers and compline.
The dates and venues are listed in the schedule of events.
The Schola rehearses on Saturday mornings from 10:00am to 12:00pm. If you have a passion for Gregorian chant, we welcome you to join us. As we cover a lot of music in a short time, choral experience or an ability to read music is a definite plus. We regret that we can only accept male singers at the moment.

Chant resources (e.g. how to read chant notation) can be found here.
We are also conducting a course on Gregorian chant. Details can be found here. |
