Dear Readers,
Welcome to Candle’s November issue!
Take some time off from your books to check out the interviews with our priests, Father Fred and Father Val. If you’ve never had the pleasure of talking with them then it’s about time you got to know them a bit better. I’d just like to extend a big Thank You to our priests for their thought-provoking and insightful responses.
While we may be struggling with exams do not forget that there is life outside NUS. Final year students especially will be preparing for a whole new lifestyle once they graduate. To remind us of this and bring us a little perspective, Joon will share on his experiences so do take a look at his article.
If you’re not studying hard, then I certainly hope you’re praying hard! Have a look at our suggested study prayers. They may not guarantee As but they can help put your soul at ease and are a great way to start any study session. Remember not to lose sight of the big picture and know that God is with you through it all.
As the exams are rolling round, we’ve included a little de-stress joke, courtesy the Abeng faculty. So if the stress is getting to you then just take a break and enjoy the read.
As always, if you feel spiritually bereft or just feel like commenting on something you’ve read, there’s always the forum and tagboard to turn to should you have any questions on the faith.
