The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is first of all a place for gathering and reflecting. Here one prays and meditates on the word of the Lord. It is through deepening one's faith that one experiences an urge for action. For serving God. And through prayer rises the happiness of being present at the service of the Other . That other one who is my brother.

Friends for loving

The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul , in the diversity of its "Conferences", enables each one to listen to the Other, caring for his needs and expectations. Between us. Between friends. Friends for loving. To be stronger. And to go out and meet the Others.

Let's go to  the poor

The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul , true to the founding spirit that leads it, is an actor of progress and attention. A watchman for a new world where the weakest must find his place.  It reforms, stimulates, shares and rediscovers, through practical theology, what actions are to be taken. Beside and amongst the Others.

The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, is this place of consideration that must go further than justice alone. And discover the treasures that – without fail – fill the heart of the Other.

Let us help one another : the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul would be meaningless if it wasn't first of all an evidence of an active presence for the Other.

Within the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul , sharing isn't just willing to give the extra. But to share what belongs to us, with a brother in pain. Just as in the beginning, ‘pass around a little purse into which each one emptied his pockets'. To this day, it is our share of the collection. Our own. Between us. Before we go out approaching people for help. So our contribution will first be a personal offering to the Other.

Joy of love

At the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul , everybody knows the world needs to « build the civilisation of love » (Jean-Paul II), the only answer to the hope of the Other.

Living a  lasting charity

Nothing without charity.

Charity lives in the heart of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul , favouring – everywhere- a lasting action. Any relation of love will first be a genuine and lasting relation. Then the one who receives may in turn give. So the light of the Other may shine through the eyes of everyone.
