By working closely with the Church, we hope to reach out to people who do not know God, and bring more people closer to God through our song and music."

Established in 1995(November), the Via Christus Choir was first formed in the Church of Immaculate Heart of Mary. It started out as a group of Roman Catholic singers who possess a great passion for singing. Initially singing for church masses, the group have progressed to performing at both public and private functions. Over the years of arduous training and experience under the direction and guidance of Paul Grosse, the choir has come a long way to become what it is today, a renowned group of laudable and fine singers.

Today, Via Christus Choir has about 24 members aged 13 and above, and have been bringing choral music of all genres and eras to the enjoyment of many. The choir has had 7 years of experience performing for various functions and at various places.

Lifting Spirits

We aspire to lift the spirits of the congregation when we sing so that we join ourown personal spirit with the spirits of the rest of the congregation together as a prayer to God. It also has a secular meaning which is the bringing of joy.

Raising Hearts

We hope to inspire others to lift their hearts towards God during mass so that mass will truly mean something to them and attending mass not just with their intellect but with their hearts. By our singing, may their hearts be also touched so that they can feel the presence of God during mass.
